Founded in West Dublin by the Christian Brothers in 1954 in the grounds of the 13th century Drimnagh Castle,

is an all boys school of about 750 pupils. It serves the local area, with the bulk of its present pupils from Tallaght. An active parents-school council and individual contact of parents and teachers maintain a positive connection between school and family.

Most students go from school to third level education, some go directly to work. Through the years many have gone on to engineering.

The school offers a wide range of sports. This year (1996) brought All-Ireland honours in senior soccer and basketball.
